Account Impersonation & Name Conflicts
What is impersonation?
Impersonation is when a player deliberately pretends to be someone else with the intent to mislead, scam, or cause harm.
This may include:
Pretending to be a well-known player or creator
Claiming to be a moderator or staff member
Using similar names to deceive others
I didn’t get the name I wanted — is that impersonation?
Not necessarily.
Pixel Worlds uses a first-come, first-served system for names. This means:
Anyone can register a name if it is available
Players are not entitled to a specific name, even if they have used it before or on another platform
Having a similar or matching name does not automatically mean impersonation.
When is it considered impersonation?
We will only take action if there is clear intent to deceive or harm, such as:
Claiming to be you or acting on your behalf
Scamming or misleading other players using your identity
Pretending to be staff or an official representative
What should I do if I’m concerned?
If you believe someone is impersonating you:
Gather evidence
Screenshots of chat/messages
Any proof of misleading behaviour
Report the player
Use the in-game report system
Or contact support: [link]
Avoid engaging
Do not escalate the situation publicly
What we won’t take action on
We do not take action for:
Name similarities alone
Someone owning a name you wanted
Personal disputes without evidence of rule-breaking
Our approach
We aim to keep the game fair for everyone:
Names are open and not reserved (outside of specific protected cases)
Action is only taken where there is clear rule-breaking behaviour
If you’re unsure whether something qualifies as impersonation, feel free to reach out to support — we’re happy to take a look.
